I can't show but i can write here.

1) standard full wave rectifier
2) Bulk input Filter capacitor
3) Input Bypass capacitor
4) 7805 regulator
5) Output Bypass capacitor
6) Output filter capacitor
7) +5 V output

This works in 99% of the cases. I hope Michael Karas can show you the circuit diagram as well.

BTW: The circuit I described above must be in the datasheet of the LM7805 regulator. Try a search for this data sheet on National Semiconductor's website.
