#33728 - RE: 8052 projects |
<html>
i think we had a similar problem on my senior project, using a dedicated terminal to talk to an 8052-basic board. playing around with the serial port settings on the terminal got it to work with the board. verify the hyperterminal settings match the serial port settings for your 8052 board, whatever they are. that includes that hyperterminal be set up to connect to the correct serial port. verify the serial port connections are correct. monitor the traffic with an oscilloscope and see if it makes sense. verify all wiring is per the circuit design and the chip pinouts; one misconnection could make the board useless til fixed, or could even damage chips til fixed. chips might have been zapped, if the person who built the circuit was not groundstrapped or the groundstrap was broken. inserting or wiring ICs backward can damage them, and maybe circuits and other chips. good luck! <table><tr><td>james</td><td> </td><td> www.jameshinnant.com</td></tr></table> </html> |
