#3382 - RE: 8052.com Chip Database Assistance |
Babar: I'm not sure I understand you completely.
The idea here is to have an index of 8052-compatible derivatives and then be able to search the database. For example, a company I was working with needed to find a chip with certain characteristics (certain temperature range, A/D convertor, watchdog timer). We started reviewing datasheets from our favorite semiconductor firms until we found what we needed. The idea here is to be able to search for such things as temperature ranges supported, number of UARTS, whether the chip supports SPI and/or I2C, chip packages available, amount of SRAM, Flash, IRAM, etc. and then know exactly which chips from which manufacturers fit the bill. What is it exactly that you suggest? We can certainly add it to the effort. Also, if you know some site that already provides the type of database that I mentioned above, please let me know--there's no need to duplicate it. But when we were looking for a derivative with certain characteristics, none of us knew any way to find it other than to plow through the datasheets. Craig Steiner |
