I think you have the wrong end of the stick here!

"Random Access" in terms of a memory device means that you can access any location at random - without having to go through any specific sequence of other locations beforehand.

The "Random" has nothing to do with the data which you read from the device having random values!!

Specifically, "Random Access" is in contrast to Sequential access - which means that you have to go through all the preceding locations before you can access the location you actually want. A typical example would be a tape-based medium, where you have to spool through all the preceding tape before you can get to the bit you actually want!

(this is not to be confused with a Serial Interface)
