The push-pull configuration is a bit more than an "active pullup", Mike. In this configuration, a 'high' output is driven high and driven hard, at that. I have actually measured sub-nanosecond rise- and fall times on these devices (something like 800 ps!). This is definitely something to keep in mind when designing the PCB. If traces are long enough, you might even be required to treat them as transmission lines. Rob. |
