#34674 - RE: Timer(z) value calculator / Andy |
The calculator on the Keil web site was not written so much as a baudrate generator but as an easy way to explain why you can't get 9600 baud from an 8051 with a 12.000 MHz oscillator.
We didn't add support for Timer 2 because Timer 2 is much more flexible and people don't have as much trouble using it (it would also make the table 65536 lines long). Maybe only the experienced developers use Timer 2 for the baud rate generator??? Jon |
