I have built simple system using '51 and an fsk receiver (XR2206) to capture code stream from POTS/PSTN line. To test the board I must bring it to the line that has capability of receiving caller ID number, 'cos my line DO NOT receive CID stream :(
BUT... I have a standard modem. Can the modem be used as stream originator?
Say I want to send stream of "1234567890" via telephone line using the modem, how can I make the modem to transmit the stream as fsk of Bell202?

I am truly sorry if this is out of topic... but I really need a second head!
