With your post you wrote that the pinout for the CA8031 was available at a web site. You included a nice little picture for the CA3081. Are you implying, like Andy, that the actual part number is the CA3081? I know I did searches on the CA8031 number and came up with absolutely nothing!! ............It looks to me like a DS2003 dead bugged on to his board with flying wires the old chip holes may be the fix for his board repair.
