#3499 - RE: CAN bus driver |
Hi Olaf,
I'm more involved on developing the hardware. Protocol: We use Devicenet Software: We tried to buy software, but it was not worth the money. So we write itself (Keil-C). Very helpful was the Philips SJA1000 data sheet and the application note AN97076. Hardware: We use the DS80C320 micro with 2 SJA1000 CAN-controller and the 82C251 CAN-transceiver. Yes, the DS80C390 looks ideal to do it all in a single chip. But since it was not available on starting the project and with my big luck on using brand new devices :-( I prefered a known as working solution. The Philips P80C591 looks also nice, but its also brand new :-( If any guinea pig tried one of both using succesful, please tell it me. I'm definitively no longer a guinea pig. Peter |
