You can use the 74HC393 as 8 bit counter and then connect a 74HC165 to read it out serial.
You can chain this circuits to every number of counters as you want. Then you need 3 lines (1 signal to latch all counters into its corresponding 74HC165, and clock, data to read out serial). Peter |
