EPROM = Erasable Programmable Read Only mem.
this one needs UV-light.

EEPROM = Electrically Erasable PROM
you can erase this one with elektricity!

And I'm pretty sure that FLASH has always been faster than EEPROM. at least that's what I've always learnt and what people always have told me.
