#35905 - RE: SED1530 LCD controller |
The SED1530 can be configured to for either an 8080 or 6800 type interface depending on the state of the C86 pin on the chip. Your hardware and software needs to designed accordingly.
I got caught by this when trying to use a Densitron LM4900 display module (same display format and controller). They are available in two variants, one configured for the 6800 interface and one for the 8080 with a /80 suffix on the part number. I bought one for evaluation from FEC in the UK who only sell the 6800 variant which (unsuprisingly) doesn't work if you don't check the part number and assume it's intended for the 8080 interface. |
