Wan't that one of the methods we discussed in the original thread ? I haven't time to read it all again, but we discounted it on the grounds of accuracy I think.
Obviously I was wrong ! The SHOCK wave from a supersonic bullet would work very nicely, it has very very abrupt rising and falling edges. and by correlating the mikes, you can eliminate external shots from adjacent targets. You are are still faced with quite fast timing requirements though ! 330m/sec and what ? 2mm precision is pushing things....any idea of the expected resolution and precision Steve |
