#36423 - intel format addr translator/editor
I've recently come across two different problems that could be solved with some sort of utility/editor which would take an intel-extended format file as input, allow me to "easily" (GUI? command line?) move the target physical location of blocks of data, and generate a new hex file with these new addresses as output.

These problems are due to the physical addresses output by my linker (older version of IAR) not matching the physcial addresses needed by my hardware/progammer as well as a specific Philips software utility when I setup my code for banking. I've been working with Philips and IAR trying to find solutions to these problems & so far the best answers I've come up with are upgrade to the newest version of the IAR tools, switch to the Keil compiler, or find/create a utility to modify the hex file as needed.

I've searched a little on the web & 8052.com but I haven't seen anything promising yet. The intel-extended format seems straightforward enough & I could write my own utility, but I thought even better if someone has something they could share.

Suggestions?

Jeff
