Jeff:
I would strongly urge you to consider getting the latest version of a tool chain that can be setup to automatically build banked images. A hand editing solution is fine for a one shot build but if you are in a serious software development cycle you could quickly eat up the cost of a tool set in erms of your time doing the bank placement over and over in the manual manner.

I have been working with the banking support in Keil C and Assmebler and the BL51 linker. It works pretty darned nice.
