If your 8052's are on the same board you don't need RS232 - a direct connection will do;
Indeed it will, just look out for the "wired or" of all Tx and Rx pins required for that mode (when more than 2 nodes involved) It can create some real funny debugging situations. Your code need take care of receiving both what comes from others and what comes from the same. All software methods for multinode RS-485 are useable (the idea is the same) only one can transmit.
