#37817 - A Transport of Delight |
"There is a Funny song written by two guys called 'Flanders and Swann'"
The title of the song is A Transport of Delight; it's the first track on the At the Drop of a Hat album. Somone has had a go at transcribing the full lyrics here, but seems to have missed the Army Lorry as a play on Annie Laurie! (I also suspect that "Then jackal taxi drivers" should be "Them jackal taxi drivers") Someone else has done a parody eulogising Unibus! Unfortunately, it seems that the Great British Double-Decker Bus is now likely to be killed-off by some new EU directive? :-( (how come the French can have double-decker trains, but we can't have double-decker buses?!) |
