#38037 - RE: Emulator for AT & AVR 8051 Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Stephane
I have used the small atmels - AT89C2051 etc, and they are quite okay. But there is a lack of decent tools for these little devices. I got an Equinox programmer and simple emulator, and it works for small, simple things. This programmer is not fabricated anymore, and it runs under dos. You can boil it all down to an economic decision: Am I going to make so many projects with these special devices, that it will pay for the proper tools? If not, then use a cheap std. 8051 with flash on its back, and FM or Flip as the only needed special dev. tools. Also have in mind, that using the same chip or maybee the same hardware for several projects might save both money and time. God søndag Per |
