#38299 - RE: Emulator for AT & AVR 8051
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Yes Erik, I will have to agree brand problem was a part to blame, it used an 80C535 with a lot of PALS, it was Indian made, at the time my customers were about to purchase the Nohau from the US, I dissuaded my customers from buying that,I thought the huge cost (relatively) of the emulator did not justify the project we were doing.

Anyway I think the electrical characrteristics of the emulator pins differ from the real thing - the micro, and it is convenient to use the micro directly.

Another point if we are going to use different families such as the AT89C52 or the P89C51RD2 dont we need different emulators? I dont know.

And then how are we going to emulate the internal comparators of the AT89C2051, AT89C4051, which are very popular and cheap.

Stephane, there is another great device released recently by Philips, the 89LPC932, the specs seems to be just right for small projects, flash based, it has isp, internal, eeprom, etc I am still trying to get some samples from Philips here in India.

Regards,
John.
