Alright Waqar. What do you need.
Start with the blocks. Display - use Max 7221 or 7219. Keyboard (for setting clock) - take them into a port, if you use 4 buttons, you have enough left over for the display driver. Output ? A tone first like in the other thread here, then add the fancy westminster chimes. Haven't found the chip yet though. Powersupply, crystal, reset generator. Software: Driver for Max 7219: SPI bus. Clock timer: Use Peter's stuff, in the link I pointed out. Get the BITS working, get the display to count up when you press a button, down when you press another. Get the clock working. Pulse pins at 1 Hz, 1/60th Hz etc. Putting that lot together should keep you busy.... Steve |
