Yes it's very possible. The serial port is the real "rub" in your proposal as previously noted but the '51 can neatly unpack the WAVE data "chunks" and output them to a convertor (which is what i would humbly recommend of PWM). Also the playback rate, the sample depth, etc is specified in the format header. The choice of 8 bit sample replay is appropriate for standard PC WAV "sound-clip" format where the sample rate is about 11KHz. regards, p |
