What precision, what resolution, what calculation rate do you require?

It might be wise to subcontract this out if you're doing this in a corporation. Of course finding someone that really knows what they're doing is almost as challenging.

If you're doing it on your own, you have a log hard task ahead. And I hope you have no precision requirements.

Precision is seldom maintained correctly by micro programmers. Luckily its usually unnoticed by project managers, and even most customers. The danger is when a potential competitor realizes the problem. :)
