Equation parsing is under the topic of Automata Theory in compute science as is compiler design. With a simple routine and some stack space you can cut right through complex equations. It must be a interesting application if equations can be sent to you 8051. We usually know what needs to be calculated ahead of time in embedded programming. -Jay C. Box |
