Modicon are the orignal authours of the MODBUS protocol. you can download the entire standard including an appendix which gives the source code for the CRC in either table driven form or dynamic generation form. from there it is easy, just remember that MODBUS tends to send the LSByte first so you may have to swap the bytes over, I can't remember now, but I have done it without to many problems
