#39553 - chip w. SPI UART |
Hi,
I'm working on a project where SPI at approx. 1.5 Mbit/s is needed to interface with some device. Currently I use the SPI port of an AT89S8252; since I need a bit more horsepower I plan to move to a Dallas or similar chip (1 or 4 cycles/instruction). However these chips don't get an built-in SPI port. I browsed several constructors websites & datasheets but didn't find a suitable part. So my questions are : - anyone knows a 8051 compatible fast core with SPI ? - otherwise any idea of an external UART capable of SPI ? Bitbanging a SPI is not a useful solution at this bitrate. Triscend E5 seems OK but not a drop-in replacement (may be considered if no other solution, though). Thx, romuald |
