I don't think I know what you are talking about. We don't transfer the program from Flash to SDRAM on Reset. Maybe you are talking about the TUSB3410 device. They load from the USB or from an EE memory. If they are loaded from the USB then they will be enumerated as the TUSB3410, but if they are loaded from the local memory then they can have a unique product identifier on the USB. I don't have any contact with the group that designs that product. The MSC1210 is designed by the division of TI which used to be Burr-Brown.

And in reference to your other statement about giving you a high speed SPI and requiring you to pay for a 24-bit ADC. We never designed the MSC1210 to be a general purpose microprocessor. It is designed as a high performance data acquisition system. It is just that when I saw the discussion about trade-offs for the SPI implementation on some devices, I thought I should at least mention that the MSC1210 can accomplish those tasks very well. But if all you want is a high speed SPI, the MSC1210 might not be the best device if you don't need the other functions as well.
