There is one way we can use external interupt is for detecting Key-Press event of keyboard controller fine. But my problem is i want to add more digital I/O ports to my circuit, and i want to do some processing on the change of any input. Well classical solution is to "Polling". Scaning that address space for change continously which is not feasible. Is there any chip which i can use to detect the change in input level and generate event.

Please Note: I am referring "Microcontroller Idea Book" as my 8052 knowledge source.
