Yes,I keep saying use the maxim switch debouncers for all your switch and input debouncing needs,its easy cheap and quick,it generates an interrupt on any state change and the inputs are all isolated to 15Kv.They can be connected into any size input matrix www.maxim-ic.com

There seem to be a lot of outdated ideas that keep getting regurgitated by that frigging cookbook,read it as a starting point but modern design techniques have moved an a lot since it was written.
