#41327 - RE: Danger with NoTouch? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
If you initiate NoTouch BY ACCIDENT, can you get back in operation without running Flashmagic, WinISP, or HelloDolly ?
Nope, NoTouch will bring the chip to the same state as when it was shipped from Philips (ready to load). I would never make the NoTouch entry one character from the UART or a button, in my designs you have to send "qwerty4711" down the serial line to activate NoTouch. The way to do it is, since you need a serial connection anyhow, to send down the activation string followed by the program. If you use the puppy to generate the reset as suggested, the whole thing can be automated. Erik |
