#4223 - RE: EEPROM programming... |
Hi Steve,
I am not using the external ROM version now. It is a "true" 8052-BASIC chip with the BASIC in the chip ROM. As for the eeprom security issue, I don't believe my eeprom has that. It is the KM28c16 eeprom. I have a data sheet for an eeprom similar to it. I have the PROG or FPROG commands programming the first byte at 8000h. I have started with a 7.3728MHZ crystal. Then went to the 12MHZ crystal. Both do the same. I have even edited the internal timing registers of the 8052 to change the timeout delay. Again, has anyone successfully done this or should I just use the eprom method. I would rather not inorder to not have to deal with errasing it all the time to correct a program. Thanks, Dave Kaleta |
