Hi Dave,

yes, such little EEPROM have no protection. Only 28C256 and some 28C64.

I know not the Basic-52 write algorithm.
The easiest way: write to the EEPROM like to a SRAM, then wait about 10msec and you can read back the byte.

I suggest, you write your own Basic program to do so.
