#4261 - RE: RS-485 emulation from PC using RS-232 |
Peter is right again. We use the parity mode, but don't check data validity with it. We send a CRC-16 word for validation- building the CRC at the PC end and comparing it with the transmission. We force odd or even parity depending on whether it is an address or data to a slave.
Its the parity bit switching that seems to upset the VCL components we used. Steve |
