The simplest interpretation would be binary - small keypad and easy math ;D

Have you looked through the old threads here? Type in 'floating point math' - the first thread that comes up has some interesting suggestions for working with integers instead of floats. Sorry my IQ is too low to post links. I have not yet figured that out..
