For a 5 channel analog data input I am planning to use a 4051 as the front end multiplexer ( +5V level only )and the output feeding a ADC 7135. The MCU is my favourite 89c51RD2.

The attraction is the 20,000 count resolution for a nominal 2.0 VDC reference.I have till date used the AD574 with no problems and in this case I am a little sceptical if I can realize the resolution till the last count. The reason for the change is cost - the 7135 is used in plenty for 4.5 digit DPMs and is available easily.

Any tips / suggestions from those who have tried this 7135 fellow ?
