------------------------------- Hej Mikkel Please note that the LPC series is available as OTP versions only. Your development phase alone might use more chips than the final project. Quite true - but assuming that the LPC chips work correctly, I should be able to do the hard work on a standard 8051. As far as I can see all I would have to do was change the pin numbers and replace the idle mode "command" with a power down command. I gues that Raghu got a point when he writes "One of the reasons for this secret policy would be to discourage people from trying to write programming code without understanding the technicalities completely...and then blaming it did not work." Did you ask Philips or one of our local FAE's for the programming routine? Yes, I asked Philips - no reply so far. But I did find the programming document last night. I found a document that contained the file name of the document in question, and then I found the file in three different locations... The programming algorithm doesn't look too dificult to implement. If this was my project, i'll pick a chip with flash and ISP. It might be twice as expensive a piece, but when you add the chips you throw in the bin when developping......... If I could find a flash µc, then I would use it. But the only two µc's I have found (T87C5101 and 87LPC764) are OTP. I didn't think my requirements were that strange (low pin count and wake-up from powerdown), but perhaps they are... If anyone can suggest a flash µc that would be a lot easier... God påske Tak i lige måde. Best regards, Mikkel C. Simonsen |
