OK. I've fixed the problem...
For those interested, the problem was: I was pushing/popping P3 to save the status of two I/O pins that selected which device my serial port was connected to. However, this caused the serial port to "crash" every once in a while because if TxD happened to be low when I pushed P3, serial transmission was disabled when I popped P3 back. (The P3 pins must be high to enable their alternate functions.) Regards. Drew Rainwater |
