I forgot,if you look at a coin shoot from a phone you will see that the curve is such that the coin rolls with a constant velocity against gravity.Also you need to have some sort of ir beam break system to tell you when the coin is about to roll between the coils.A cd4096 pll is useful to measure the frequency change.
