A grad student at my college recently finished his masters thesis that involved bluetooth communication controlled by an Infineon C161. From briefly talking with him about it, it looks like you should have a copy of the bluetooth spec and understand it pretty well (at least the layers that you intend to work with). He used the l2cap layer and his project is not communicating with applications.

If you have a specific question about the development, I could ask him. As far as I know he did his work using the bluetooth spec and the manual for the bluetooth module he was using. Please no generic inquiries like "please send me code" or "how do I do it?"
