#44516 - RE: ADC0808- open drain Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Dear Ilancheliyan,
I suppose that there are some basic flaws in your understanding. The EOC remians low during conversion and goes High at the end of conversion. Also it needs no Bias. The EOC pin can handle 1.2mA and can directly drive TTL level inputs. If you had referred to the data sheet from National the connections are actually given. Finally before you get into this EOC buisness, you can just read the converted value after a fixed delay from the time you started the conversion - anything from a 200micro to 1mS will do. And initially dont try the clock frequencies very high - 500KHz is OK. Check and revert. This chip is good one for experimenting- only take care your inout voltage does NOT swing above the supply rails. Raghu |
