#45201 - RE: telephone Call progress Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I see now that we were discussing call progress back in September of last year in a thread here that Shahzad started. Sorry for having repeated myself again in this thread. It never occurred to me that I was dealing with the same individual. I can only assume that Shahzad had already considered tweaking the cadence algorithm for voice before rejecting that idea and posting about call progress here again for his additional requirements.
However, just to address the issue of cadence detection's inflexibility as some have suggested here, the products where I have used it are sold into the U.S.A., Canada, Australia, U.K., Holland, Switzerland, Sweden, and Singapore, to name a few. I have long since left that company, but occasionally do some consulting for them and have discovered that they have expanded the countries they sell into and in addition to using a country-specific cadence lookup table, now have the ability to download unique cadence detection parameters to deal with those occasional "sticky situations". So much for the notion of inflexibility! |
