#45242 - RE: Line Reversal Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Shahzad,
I didn't rejected the Call progress detection at all. I just mentioned the most reliable B-Answer method. Telephone line has some 48V DC which definitely has a polarity. When party 'A' calls party 'B', and if party 'B' answers the call, then the local exchange reverses the polarity of the telephone line of 'A' party. This reversal remains in effect till the call ends. Line reversal detection is very easy to implement and as far as cadence detection is concerned, one of my friends did it using MT8880 and after several experiments, he stated that detecting the silence (instead of ring back tones) was more reliable. Good Luck IA |
