Please tell us in detail what your application is, otherwise we only have some academic discussion, finally becoming totally diffuse.
When telling about your application in detail there can often be found a completely different solution, like some simple additional hardware circuitry.
Please, the more concrete you define your actual application the more concrete we can help.
