Search for "bitfield" on the Keil forum - it's been mentioned there several times.
If you're using Keil, you must also search their knowledgebase - there is an article which deals specifically with the behaviour of bitfields in Keil. It is certainly not what you might expect!! As you're doing it on an 8051, and not worried about portability, why not use a bit-addressable variable? |
