#46431 - RE: gpib using ieee-488 interface
Responding to: ???'s previous message
"The gpib interfacing is to be done with ieee-488"

Eh??
IEEE-488 is GPIB is HPIB

The Bus originated as a Hewlett-Packard (now Agilent) proprietary standard - the HP Interface Bus, HPIB
This became a de facto standard for instrument interfacing - but obviously other manufacturers wanted to avoid the HP name on their products, so called it the General Purpose Interface Bus (GPIB).
The IEEE formalised the whole thing into IEEE-488.

Have you tried looking on the Agilent (formerly HP) site?

Like Steve, my final year Project was HPIB based - on an HP-85 computer.
I also had an Apprentice project using the IEEE interface on a Commodore PET, and the HP85 came back to haunt me in an early graduate project...
