#47197 - RE: RAM varification & PROGRAM INTEGRITY Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Dear Abhishek,
As Kai mentioned and was eloborated by Mike, I dont suppose that one need to check the normal RAM for data integrity at every start up. But what I do as a routine, is to check for data integrity of user defined configuration parameters that are stored in EEPROM and are called to be loaded in to the RAM when the program runs. And even this is a simple check to see if the parameter is within preset High/Low limits. In all my projects the end application is some hydraulic pump or valve that is being tested for endurance / performance and a wrong parameterization can wreak havoc on the rig which have normal RPMs of 6000+ and pressures of 250 Bar+. Learnt the hard way. Raghu |
