you are right and this is my problem, there is no data sheet. scales are bulit for commerical operation and seem to be a secrete world.
What i am doing is saving the weight reading for certain users so then they can get thier weight difference alomg the time. There is a keypad to identify the user's password.

your sufficient information gave me more understanding. Unfortunitally, My interfacing circuity is large (8052 + Keypad + Hitachi LCD + latch + encoder). Actually, I opened a bathroom scale with four 7-segment LCD. There were 13 controlling lines which are less than 29 (4digit*7segment+1 for power) so there was a kind of multiplexing. I think dealing with these commerical bathrooms is very dark. every thing is secret, multiplexed and very small!!. This was my thinking way and you made me more confident.
