You can toggle the output bit in the interrupt routine. In addition, if you have the more robust version of the TIMER 2 on your derivative with the "High Speed Output" you can get the output to toggle in hardware. It is even possible to use the TIMER2 interrupt to then load a compare value into the compare register every other time so that the high speed output can toggle in an non square wave mode.
