The 8051/8052 8031/8032 are different in the use of mask programmed ROM or external memory access only. The 8052 has more internal RAM, and an additional moe sophisticated timer "Timer 2"

I think the ADUC chips have the PCA (Programmable counter array) too.

What maximum baud rate do you want to transfer data at ?
