#48424 - RE: Simple 8052 device ideas
Responding to: ???'s previous message
"Anyone has a good idea for a simple device to build using the 8052? "

What happened to the Calculator, large keypad, RTC, battery charger projects ? Over and complete? Since you are not new to 8052, try this:

Read one analog channel ( 12 bits ) and display it in an LCD in both raw units as well as in engineering units - use a conversion of 5VDC = 100Units. One digit decimal resolution needed. Alternate at the rate of 0.5Hz between both displays and give the user a provision to alter the engineering conversion rate between 50 to 200. And to do this, the front panel will have only two push-to-on switches. And to save time, if the user holds a switch for more than 2 seconds the display scroll rate should be increased by 10 times when the conversion rate is programmed. And a three way switch will decide on display of 1.Raw unit only 2. Engineering unit only 3.Both alternating as above.

Before you wonder if I have gone bonkers - this is a segment of a real project that I was discussing with a client recently. And this is the begining. The control logic is not yet complete. Revert if you need more.
