You just have to check the different business sites and you get to know the level of the projects being carried out on some of the other microcontrollers for domains like telecom,telematics etc.

I have been trying to figure out where the 8051 stands in terms of complexity of projects, and that is the primary reason for the question.

With different bodies projecting the market for embedded systems to grow in terms of billions of dollars, as a 8051 professional I was curious to find out what would be the share of the 8051 in this market and at what levels of complexity.

Since this forum has members who are experts at the subject,I presumed there would be some data on whether this expertise is being used only for answering questions in this forum or is the same being applied on to any domains.

I understand it would be pretty naive on my part if I had asked which are the companies in India offering jobs for 8051 professionals. That would be a question to be posted in any of the Indian sites and not in a technical forum having membership across the world!

Probably the moderator could give it a thought on whether updates on current level of projects using the 8051 could also be included as a part of the forum.
